This vision starts at Columba Cottage.Executive Director of Columba Cottage Early Learning Centre - commencing July 2022Located on the St Columba site and an integral part of the school, Columba Cottage Early Learning Centre offers 138 places each day for 0-5 year olds in a bright modern setting. The Executive Director, as part of the St Columba Anglican School executive team, will promote and support the vision and direction of the CCELC by providing the day-to-day leadership that will enable it to build success and provide high quality care and education for its children. The Executive Director has leadership and management of the Long Day Care Centre on a day-to-day basis, will manage the leadership group of the Centre and is the first point of contact for all stakeholders and external agencies in matters relating to the Centre. The Executive Director also oversees the Out of School Hours Care Service.The Executive Director will work to ensure that the vision, Christian values and operations of the Centre are compatible with those of St Columba Anglican School, reflecting the School’s quest for Excellence, Effectiveness and Enterprise.The ideal candidate will hold tertiary qualifications to post graduate level and have experience working in an educational leadership role.The Executive Director of the CCELC will:be an ambassador for the Centre and will promote and raise its profile in the wider community.continue to raise standards of achievement including maintenance of Exceeding NQS.be responsible for all day-to-day management of the children, staff, resources and building so as to promote and secure the achievement and wellbeing of all children. work with the Executive team and Governing Body to provide an environment in which all staff and children are enabled to achieve success and to build towards achieving their potential.work with families to encourage the best outcomes for their children.be responsible on a day-to-day basis for the internal organisation, management and control of the Centre. consult, liaise with and work in partnership with the Management Committee and will consult, as appropriate, with the Committee, relevant government departments, the teachers/educators, the parents and carers of its children.effectively manage, encourage, develop and Admin and support staff, and actively and visibly demonstrate his / her responsibility towards them. actively develop the management and leadership skills of the CCELC Executive Team. identify and support, through guidance and opportunity, those staff with leadership potential.be closely involved with the Executive Team in recruiting, retaining and deploying staff appropriately so that the goals and targets for the Centre can be achieved.A generous above industry standards salary package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.To make your application use the SCAS Careers online portal.
